The End of Year Tax Setup Rollover Program (TX405) prepares
the tax collection and billing system for the next year of tax collection by
reading through each annualized tax setup table and transferring information to
the next year of tax collection indicated by the parameter.
If no value is entered in “Add No Months”, any dates entered
in the FEEDEF,SAFEEDEF, TECYCLE, and INTSCHED tables, such as a delinquency or
due date, must be updated manually by the user within IAS after the roll
process to reflect the new delinquency or due date. If the
value is entered in “Add No. Months”, the date will be the number of
months plus the old delinquency or due date. Any date entered in the FEEDEF
table (such as a delinquency date) will be automatically updated within IAS in
the rollover process.
If Check Holidays = “Y”, then the tax set-up dates will skip
weekends and holidays. The system automatically puts the new date at the next
business date.
The program specifically copies setup records forward from
the current year to the new record as a base for the new year.
The rates stored in the rate tables must be updated
physically within IAS after the roll process to reflect the proper rates for
the new year. The program specifically copies setup
records forward from the current year to the new record as a base for the new year.
